AC line crimping.

Got my vintage air system all installed except for the compressor lines that have to be professionally crimped, but i'm having trouble findidng a local place that does this. Anyone know of a chain store or parts store that does this? I dont want to leave my system open for a long period.

You should also be able to use any fork lift repair or pneumatic/ hydraulic supply house that works on industrial equipment. Nearly every large town has one.

Re: AC line crimping.

I tried every auto parts store in town, then I started hitting up the agricultural and tractor shops too. No one had the right tools to crimp AC lines, nor did they know who around here might. Eventually someone sent me to a big rig diesel repair place on an off chance. Turned out that they are the only gig in town with an honest to goodness A/C crimping tool. That's how I got my Vintage Air hoses done.

Cool Re: AC line crimping.

I took mine to a AC shop and had them done for like $40.00 total.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: AC line crimping.

Hard to believe that no one local has the tools to do it. I have 3 mechanic shops within 5 miles that do AC work and have the equipment to build/crimp hoses. I just had the shop that charged my AC crimp mine when I brought it in.

Thanks for the offer, but I found a small independent parts store in Muskogee that makes hydraulic hoses and they said they can do it, left them with them and should be done tomorrow. The store is Sheets Automotive in Muskogee if you decide you dont want to drive that far?
