Its a 3/4 ton 8 lug leaf spring truck 411 Dana 60 rear. I am converting it to 5 lug trailing arm setup. I've already cut the frame for short bed and it is getting a No Limits rack and pinion. So im wanting to know how to make this all work? Full guidance woud be awesome. I was given a 75 chevy van 5 lug 3/4 ton 411 open diff rear for parts it has brand new brakes, bearings, ball joints, spindles, $900 tires and aluminum radiator.

I will start a build thread soon! If someone wants to fallow.

Porterbuilt has a trailing arm set up that would bolt right in

Thank you. Nice stuff but to much $$$$. I dont have that kind of money to spend on it right now. Im wondering what will work from the 75 van in my conversion and what ells ill need to get. I was thinking i would get the arms from a long bed and shorten them my self. Cuz they are cheap and all over.

Long & short wheel base use the same length truck arms. The difference is where the x-member is mounted in the frame.

As mentioned, you can take a factory trailing arm x-member and upper shock cross member from a coil spring truck and install it in your leaf spring truck. The trailing arms will bolt right in also.... BUT the trailing arms are different from 3/4 ton to 1/2 ton so you will need to find some specific to the 3/4 ton application.

We understand the "budget" for sure... but we are always willing to help with information or other alternatives. Feel free to give us a call if you would like to discuss the swap.

Factory 3/4 ton arms are partially plated on the top & bottom for additional strength.
