New squarebody owner

I just bought a squarebody from Arizona that I'm sure some of you will recognize. Im in the process of going through the truck since it was sitting for awhile. This summer I will be putting in the newer generation dropmember, dropping in a built up small block and pulling the cab and all to POR the frame, new cab mounts, weatherstrips etc. not that this truck has any significant rust. Down the road i'll be repainting it two-tone. Right now I'm just enjoying driving it. The truck drives great with the dropmember/ Kp link setup. I come from building imports for the last ten years or so, so I'll definately be learning a lot from these boards. I also have a 1950 Chevy 3100 that Im going to be building soon.

I have to say that Dino was a HUGE help with me getting this truck. Very cool dude, always there to answer my questions. And I definately asked him a lot! He built a killer truck

Thanks again man!

Nice truck man! If you need someone to dispose of the old dropmember for you,
I might be able to help take it off your hands

Congrats on the new ride and welcome to the board.... Looks like the cell bill in the truck is getting used up... Kiddos are so awesome good to see her involved in the truck even if it is just a switch box cell phone..

Congrats!
You own a big part of Dropmember history.
If it was me,... I'd keep the original Dropmember in there.

Re: New squarebody owner

Congratulations on your new purchase. Dino is a cool guy and builds nice trucks. So that being said, you have some good quality there. I love everything about the truck. Only thing I would change if it were mine is swapping to the narrow tailgate band. Whats your plans for it? Your daughter is adorable too, by the way.

Nice! Always been one of my favorites. That's the truck that made my dad purchase a dropmember. Great pics of your kid by the way.

I've been back and forth on that. I'll probably replace it since the new one I have fixes a couple issues that the original has. I'll never sell the old one though. Just clean it up and hang it in the garage somewhere

Yeah It's nice to see something that wasn't all hacked up. Dino definately does things right. As far as the band, thats actually something I've been looking into, those bands are big money though. Plans for now are finish going through everything and replacing anything that is worn. Im gonna leave it white for a bit so I'll fix a few small imperfections in the paint and buff it out. Im just enjoying driving it.

Man, I want to but its protecting all the air management. If I can get a decent deal on a flush mount cover I will definately switch it up!
