Very cool. Reading that somewhat canned "journal" reminds me of a trip my family made in April '72 (I was eleven) covering largely the same route to Cabo. Mom, dad, me, and my two bros did it in a '69 Impala wagon. Wow, the memories.

I addicted to information like this. June of 1962 they were driving around in trucks that had yet been released to dealers. They incorporated the trip into literature that was Mailed and Distributed for the September unveiling. Can`t imagine what the drive must have been like on the human body.
