Re: Warning Lights??

Do you have RPO Z53 gauges or U16 tachometer on the SPID? Does the truck now have added factory gauges? If the cluster bezel only has a speedo and a fuel gauge you have warning lights or at least had them.

Re: Warning Lights??

If you have the 4 small lower gauges as shown in this dash (i.e. besides the fuel gauge and speedo) - you need the one "for gauges". If you have none of those - you have a warning light instrument cluster - and it will just light up with a warning light when you get too hot vice a needle showing HOW hot you are. (temp gauge is second from the left lower corner - just left of the steering column).

Re: Warning Lights??

i bought a brand new instrument cluster with the 4 smaller guages. I noticed when i bought the wiring harness, there was an option for "with warning lights" i dont remember which harness i bought, if that even makes a difference.

I know i bought the cluster with a tach/oil pressure/volts. i didnt get vacuum. but it is a brand new cluster from classicparts.com

Re: Warning Lights??

The wire harness connector pinout is different between the two types of clusters. Can't tell you off the top of my head but the best place to start is with the harness you bought and checking its part number out.
