Autorama Show in Dallas

Showed up this evening as a standby entry. There were five of us outside. Luckily they had room for all of us. The show opens to the public at 3pm on Friday and goes on thru the weekend. Lots of nice rides on hand with plenty of entertainment. Check out the blue beast I'm parked next too. That motor is wicked!

Wow. Both very nice trucks. What motor is that?!?! I've never seen blowers side by side.

Both look great! But, whats up with the motor in the other truck? Is it functional?

Re: Autorama Show in Dallas

Yes, that motor is functional. I watched him when he pulled in. Sounds like a Pro Mod race car. After closer inspection I was shocked to see it's a small block. That's some serious induction for a small block! The intake manifold has like 10" rise in the shape of a square large enough to mount the blowers side by side. I go back to the hall this morning. I will take better pics and post them here.

Went to the show, had some very cool rides. I loved your truck, looked excellent all the way around. Did you see the black 55' belair with 1000hp and a 5 speed manual with individual gear shift knobs?!

Re: Autorama Show in Dallas

Thanks. The show was fun. There was a lot going on so I was hardly at my truck. I left with an award so that was cool. I also met a lot of cool people that I hope to see again.

That truck with the dual blowers is running an Edelbrock cross ram intake with an adapter to accept the blowers. It's running 8:1 compression. He had the blowers turned down to 4 lbs of boost to make it easier to drive. The owner is a real nice guy out of Plano. He went out of his way to help me get my truck correctly displayed.
