Re: fuel issue

thanks but thats the opposite of what im looking for. ive found several things on if you have a 90 sending unit making it work on a 30 gauge. i have the exact opposite problem. i need a 90 sending unit that will fit behind the seat of my 64, so it will match my 90 fuel gauge from a 72

I've fiddled with fuel gauges a pretty fair amount. With your situation, the only solution I see is grafting a later model sending unit onto your sending unit--all mechanical, instead of electrical from here out.

Re: fuel issue

im beginning to think my easiest option is to just get an autometer 30ohm fuel gauge. just really wanted to keep the old guages

Jeremy, mating 2 sending units may be simpler than you first think. You essentially cut 2 pipes and join 2 pipes using flex fuel hose & 2 clamps. (I'd use fuel-injection hose.) You'll prolly need 2 inches of it!

And, if you're lucky, maybe the '67 send unit is a simple bolt-in. Look at both at a parts house & compare?
