The package has never been opened other than where it looks like someone pushed thier finger thru the plastic. I cut part of the package and I can see metal clips inside between the vent shades. The package reads "quick and easy to install - complete illustrated instructions are enclosed" So as far as I know what ever is needed to install them is in the package but I have never installed any. Sorry that I can not give you any better/ more definate answer than that but I feel that everything needed to install them is there.
