Are these right??
I just ordered billet specialties for my bb and to me it looks like I have two left side valve covers. Or maybe this is how there supposed to be. When you rotate the script as if they were on the heads the passenger side valve cover is sloped towards the accessories and not the firewall. The driver side is more vertical. If this is normal it may drive me nuts.

Re: Are these right??
The one with more slope is for the drivers side to clear the booster.

Re: Are these right??
I would call Billet Specialties and ask them for sure, but the slope should be on the rear of the engine for both valve covers. dont let them BS you, because they dont like to take stuff back and can tell you for sure that they will ask for BOTH valve covers back to send correct ones.

Re: Are these right??
Yeah for sure. Called summit and the lady had no idea what I was talking about. Guess I have to wait till morning to call billet specialties. On a side note very disappointed in the polish on these fine scratches in the aluminum and compound where it indents for bolts. They can be cleaned up but for 200 dollar I'd expect a little more

Re: Are these right??
then just return them for that reason (scratches) and call it a day. You're correct, you shouldn't have to deal with that. Unless you really REALLY want em, I'd punt. Still sucks and it's a pain in the butt - but the scratches alone are cause for return - and if you don't want them, the other questions don't matter at this point, send em back.

Re: Are these right??
the slopes are correct most sbc/bbc have a differnt offset on each side you wont notice it after they are installed
they are sweet vc's but that sux about the scratches. you might wanna get some kinda aluminum sealer/wax too keep them looking sharp I have the cheap chrome set like those. I've been pondering painting or pc'ing them up too resemeble the sbc script covers

Re: Are these right??
A little fine cut compound will clean them up, less stress then trying to deal with shipping them back. Some late night searching and I found what I have is right, they do offset either side. Is what it is I'm sure they will look good installed and hopefully won't jump out at you. Thanks for the help guys
