stock suspension question..... plz

im going to install 4 new eaton stock springs on my 1972 half ton with a bb 402, my question is in case i need any frontend parts.. some where on this site i read that even thou its a "72". the 73- up parts were stronger? or an upgrade?
or was i dreaming it? cant find it in a search. ??

by the way... nothing against the lowering crowd. but im going stock + 1".
right now it is 2" low.
will take pics when done. thx in advance. dave

I've heard this too about the 73 and up parts fitting. Not sure if they are any better but I replaced my entire front end with ac delco parts. Just makes me feel better knowing they are ac delco.

What I did was go to acdelco.com and click on the parts catalog on the bottom right. Then look up you year of truck and model. Then I looked up the part numbers on amazon which I found has the better prices. Also www.oehq.com sells them too.
