Canadian GM Crest - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Not a patriotic issue, just to show how they did it up here.

I went to the farm of a deceased friend from years ago this week to talk to his wife. She showed me the original GM enamel sign from the dealership where he used to work. Inside of the house she had a V-belt and Radiator hose display both of these items had the Canadian GM crest on them. Next visit I'll bring my camera and get a picture of them. I found 6 cans of transmission conditioner and a slew of OK triangular flags that would have hung in front of the used car section of the lot. She didn't want to sell any though. When he was alive he used to give me stuff like that. Always assumed he'd always be there.

This is from the cover of the 1962 Accessories book. It had complete line of passenger cars and truck accessories all in the same book, including Caddilac, Buick, Oldsmobile, Chevrolet trucks and GMC. Water damaged though. Only was able to save a few pages.

Here are a few more. say, did any of you know that GM trucks in Canada before the mid 40s were called Maple Leaf?
