C10, C20, C30 suspension question

i'm looking for front drop springs for my 69 C30. this may seem like a stupid question but i guess i'm asking if drop springs for a C10 would fit my C30 1 ton. it has a 350 5.7 in it if it makes a difference. i'm looking at the western chasis 4" drop springs for the front but i don't wanna order them if they're not gonna fit.... thanks in advance.

They'll fit, and will work fine for driving. Just if you load it they may sag much more then a proper C30 spring.

Re: C10, C20, C30 suspension question

I am not sure I would cut factory springs for more then a 2" drop.

Do you have drop spindles? they give you a 3" drop, and offer a factory ride.

No drop spindles yet, still running drums all around. So I can use c10 drop spindles as well when I convert to disk.

Not with out swapping:
1) the lower a-arm
2) upper and lower ball joints
3)outer tie rods.

What is your ACTUAL end goal here?
I'm trying to figure out what you want to do.

Re: C10, C20, C30 suspension question

I would be skeptical of a 4" drop coil for the front.

Never heard of one.

Re: C10, C20, C30 suspension question

I think you also need to change the upper controll arm shaft to get proper alignment. The C20-30 are much thicker.

Re: C10, C20, C30 suspension question

i mainly just want to lower it but have it bag ready for the future, convert to disk brakes up front, and possibly run power steering. i would like to keep the 8 lug all the way around. i pulled the flat bed off last week because i'm planning on shortening and narrowing the flat bed. i just figured i would get the suspension knocked out before the bed goes back on. it's not going to be a daily driver just something to bring out every now and then. it being a 4 speed won't allow me to have it as a daily seing how i have to drive highway speeds everyday. hahahaha
