230i6 to a 350v8 mount question

I have searched and found a couple of threads that touch on this but didn't find a definitive answer. I have a 64 and I have removed the 230 and have a 350 to go in. I have also purchased new motor mounts that are the same as the ones that came off of the 230. With the HEI distributor that I plan to put in, am I able to run the stock mounts in the stock locations(back two holes) without modifying the firewall?

This is how it is set up as of now:

Thanks

Re: 230i6 to a 350v8 mount question

I have always installed small blocks in the original location in these trucks, and have not had any problems with the HEI clearance. If you need to pull the distributor once the engine is in, you will have to remove the cap and rotor......no big deal IMO.

Re: 230i6 to a 350v8 mount question

Just did a 250 to 350 swap last weekend. Capt is correct. Just have to pull dist cap and it drops right in. Same mounts. Same holes.
