How hard to add rear cab trim?

My 85 c10 doesn't have the rear cab trim and I would like to ad it. Does the long piece have clips that hood onto rivets or something like that on the back of cab.
How are the clips attached is what I am wondering about. How hard would it be to add this to my truck. If I am not mistaken the corner pieces attach with screws coming from the inside of the cab through to the trim pieces. I like the look just don't know how hard it would be to put on. Not sure if it originally came with it not.

Re: How hard to add rear cab trim?

yes you can add it, not too hard.....you will prolly need to find one at the wrecking yard and take some measurements....I believe the after market clips like @ lmc come with screws to attach to back of cab.....otherwise if your truck had it originally there would be tiny welded studs for the clips....the corners have one clip with a 3/8 nut on inside of cab....find one and pull the parts and take measurements....you will be golden

pull the corners first then slide the rear pc off dont yank it off...

Re: How hard to add rear cab trim?

Cool thanks. I am going to try and hit a few yards next week and see if I can find the trim. I need to start looking for interior trim anyway.

You don't have to take the trim piece off. If you do you will be scratching your head because there will be nothing there. You have to take the speaker out and snake your hand up and behind it. That is how you get the corners off. LMC and Classic Autoparts of America has the plastic clips. If your truck didnt origionally have the trim, you screw them in place.

Re: How hard to add rear cab trim?

Thanks. I was reading somewhere that the corners had to come off first and then the middle piece. I knew that whatever held the corners on was up in there somewhere but had not had a chance to find out yet. Do you know what size wrench or socket will fit the nut for the corner piece to get it off.
