Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
They do ride nice. It also has a tight turning radius, which is nice in parking lots and backing a trailer. I was going to sell it and get a 4 door silverado. I've got all the little bugs worked out of it almost. If I bought a used truck I'd have to start over with taking with fixing things.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
That hood looks good on there. I want to do a hood, exhaust, and throw a 2 tone on my wife's Suburban too when funds and time allow. There are few good ways to 2 tone this body style, hard for me to settle on the best spot too.

Sunset orange is a great color. Should be a nice combo.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
I can't believe its been a year since my last post.
The Tahoe has been sitting for a while I changed jobs and got a better gas mileage car for the commute. I just sold my 95 K1500 and was going to find another truck, but I might just do some upgrades on the Tahoe. I want a nice aggressive tone with a cam/exhaust. I've been listening to youtube videos for ideas. your thoughts on? drop-brand, suggested useable drop cam-nice usable lope without any other mods headers-brand, long tube exhaust- nice rumble that isn't annoying in the cabin I've never worked on an LS, but need to learn. I'll try to post some pics soon with the hood painted.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
Gonna spend a few dollars on her. Just ordered some helper bags for the rear springs. Tires are also on the list.
I installed a brake controller today that was donated.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
check out performancetrucks.net A lot of good stuff over there. More related to the LS motors too. And also gmfullsize.com I'm not knocking this site by no means, its a great site, but the other two have a lot more related to the LS motor.

Re: 2004 Tahoe Project Daily Driver
Good looking Tahoe, but I do have one just like it
How is the fit and finish of your hood? I'm probably going to tend to a little rust repair/paint touch-up on mine this spring/summer and contemplated getting a cowl or HD hood. I've been looking at longtubes for mine as I have a cat on its way out and the price difference is about the same as a new catted "y" pipe. I have read, however, that to be prepared to have a few header studs to break off in the heads. They like to seize up in there and snap.

Got the bags installed. Haven't put a load on it yet. I zip tied the bags to keep them folded and they slid right in with the weight off the wheels. Back to original shape but not pressurized in pic. I put the weight back on the wheels before I put the air to it.
