Unhappy Cowl Removal

The space under the cowl vent opening is absolutely filled with leaves and pine needles;
Can this be removed without taking the hood and the fenders off?
I have got to get this cleaned out................

Theres two bolts inside the top of the fenders and u also have to remove the wiper arms/blades. There are about four svrews across the middle of the cowl too.

Another option is to use air pressure and go in through the air vents under the dash. the drivers side can snap out and you can reach in and start pulling the junk out then use air pressure to blow the junk down into the drain pocket. Going in through the cowl will only let you get to the top junk which doesn't creat nearly the problem that the stuff down the sides do. the pass side has a spring loaded vent that is a little more difficult to remove but again, it's the only way to get that junk out. LMC sells a custom screen for installation under the cowl to prevent leaves and junk from filling up this space. Make sure you get all the junk out as it creates rust that will go right through the firewall if left alone. High air pressure is the best way to get most of the stuff out. Good luck---Huck

Talking

We make screens for our trucks using 1/4" screen painted flat black and it works well. This is what it looks like installed.

Thanks guys,
Now if it would just stop raining long enough to actually get something done outside other than cutting the grass
