The Cameo Truck?
I dont know if there's a thread that covers this but it's seems really interesting! Anyone have any info on the "Cameo Truck" that had camero acsessories that chevy didn't realease? I've seen few pictures of them, anyone out there ever do a build on one? It'd be cool to see one somebody built. Thanks

Sadly I do not. And I'd love to own one! They were possibly my favorite concept of all time

I'm gonna keep searching to find one. Hopefully a board member knows of someone that's done it.

Re: The Cameo Truck?
The only Cameo pick ups I remember are the 55-57 or 58 Cameo's. They had fiberglass beds.

Re: The Cameo Truck?
Pretty cool. A big back window 67, a vinyl top, wheel arch trim delete, a custom grill, high back buckets, Camaro hood diecast pieces, SS emblem and it looks like it could be duplicated.

Re: The Cameo Truck?
I don't think it would officailly been called the Cameo truck, as was said above Chevy made a cameo from 55-58. After reading the article I still find it hard to believe they would call it a cameo, but I guess it was a bit different, a golden cameo and 9 years later than the last cameo built

Re: The Cameo Truck?
It would probably have the RS headlight doors. Not sure where the turnsignals would be? Could do round ones in the bumper like the 69

Re: The Cameo Truck?
I never heard it called a Cameo before, but now I see the front tag says Golden Cameo. It was a show truck and probably had no headlights at all. I winder what it's fate was. Notice the car mirrors?

Re: The Cameo Truck?
Mike, not yet. I have her husband talked into it but not her. I'm in process of building a garage, maybe I can talk her into storing it for her
