Coil overs on trailing arm rear.

Anyone have a picture of their setup running coil-overs on the rear? I need to replace my smushy rear springs and nitro shocks with something like a Qa1, but would like to see how you are running them, and which length you ran.

I wanted the truck low,and bare frame it is sitting 13" from the floor to the frame.!!! I can still go 7" up in one inch moves if need be.

Re: Coil overs on trailing arm rear.

THAT is what I'm looking for my man.

Could you show me a better pic of the axle brackets? It looks like you have a pretty big drop built into the bracket to accommodate the CO length.
Are those the qa1 (which length?)

Thanks dude....im so jealous that you have the weather to work on it....I'm just staring at mine all winter.

Re: Coil overs on trailing arm rear.

I order the brackets from S & W race cars, for the longer length.Hate to rub it in ,but it's 68 here today in LA.(Lower Alabama) and no those are cheap comp engineering coil overs 12". Figured I would up grade after everything is built an settled, to strange or QA1. Get you a better pic of the brackets this evening.Went with the longer brackets to get the truck as low as I could, the brackets that come with the coil overs from comp. are three inch's shorter ,which would raise the frame three inch's higher.

Here's a link to the build thread few more pics there.http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=551185

Re: Coil overs on trailing arm rear.

Thanks for the pics contagious. I'm thinking about just making a set of brackets, but those sw units aren't too expensive and the adjustability looks nice if you need to change the setup.
