I got my first truck!
Thanks a million to Chad and Wayne who were a blessing to say the least. I sent Wayne a PM to check out the truck and just a few hours later he'd already checked it out!
Thanks to his expertise I was able to make an educated decision and purchased the truck. See Item number: 130858037696 on eBay. I sent the deposit over night and in a few weeks I'm going to take my three teenage sons over spring break and roadtrip it out there with a trailer. I got exactly what I wanted, a turnkey driver with fuel injection, overdrive transmission, a/c, cruise and something where I can use the bed and not feel bad about a scratch. Thanks again so much for being willing to help out, this would not have been possible without the help of this board and a couple of good guys. I'm VERY excited and looking forward to lots of good times and information to come! Regards, Dave |

Hey JWALL, I own a small business on 71st and will be driving the truck quite a bit this summer. I'll bet we cross paths for sure, keep in touch and let me know when the cruise night is.

Dave -- this is the first time I have seen it. It looks great my friend. Congrats, and let me know if you need help with anything. If you're interested in a tailgate band for the back, I have one you can take with you when you come to get the truck. It's good and straight but it will need to be restored. Black inserts re-painted, polished up, new woodgrain and letters. It looks great like it is, .. just saying if you want a tailgate band for it you can have this one.

Just getting around to posting, but I met Dave and his sons last week (I think it was?) Very nice guy.. It was raining and kinda cold so I didn't get to see much of the truck. It's really a nice one guys. He is going to add a tailgate band to the back, and lower it a bit, possibly 20's.
He is tossing around the idea of different wheels, how far to lower it, etc. What do you guys think about Eagle 225's ? If it were me, I'd do the new Spirit of Boyd wheel. I think a grey faced wheel would be nice on this one. .. just my .02 http://hotrodsbyboyd.com/tag/spirit-of-boyd/ I'm trying to talk him down to the ground a little more  He said this is too low. Help me out fellas.
