Using an "idiot light" gauge housing for aftermarket gauges?
I was about to toss my "idiot light" gauge cluster housing, when I got to thinking that it might make a good home for someone looking to install aftermarket gauges. I think it would work better than a "gauge" cluster housing, since it has the four smaller holes in it.
What do you think? Would anyone want this? Posted via Mobile Device

I couldn't with my parts cluster that was idiot gauges the 4 hold are cut at an angle so a straght gauge will not fit at an angle inside a straght wall tube if that makes sense

Re: Using an "idiot light" gauge housing for aftermarket gauges?
Look close at the cluster housing, it does not have the three holes for the gauge terminal clips, it has a single twist socket for a bulb. That style cluster had 3/4 indicator lights instead of gauges. "Idiot lights" because they generally only come on when it's too late. Also, for people that don't care about gauges.
