Re: Taillight Mod Question
Might try posting in the 60-66 section, the truck is that vintage. Almost looks like a 54 Chevy car turned sideways??

Re: Taillight Mod Question
There are several oval lights on the page they are not a '49 Ford light.
There is a frenching bucket kit for '41-48 Chevy passenger car lights on that page also. |

Re: Taillight Mod Question
They do appear to be 59/50 Ford car lights that are available from a number of sources both new repro and used and with regular or LED bulbs.
http://www.vintageford.com/sect_sear...ry=Tail%20Lamp Kustom car parts dot com http://shop.kustomcarparts.com/Tail-...ckets_c309.htm This is the old Night Prowlers store after they had to change web hosts and do a business name change due to problems with their former web host. Good people to deal with. There are new 49/50 Ford car tail light lens assembies with glass lenses on Ebay too. Here is one pair. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1949-1950-Fo...51e098&vxp=mtr I would have put the light in closer to the fender on that black truck without building the housing around it out so far causing it to look stuck on rather than being a true custom frenched light. Maybe set a set of the buckets from the link I posted above in the fenders so that the lens ends up just flush with the fender it's self the bezel is barely recessed with the lens showing from the side so that from the side you don't see the chrome bezel.
