I Can't Keep A Secret!! Spy Photos!!

I've been wanting to do a project that was strictly about learning. I want to cut up something, make mistakes, fix them and continue on. I wanted to modify the bajeezus outta a vehicle. What better subject than a C10? I promised myself that I wouldn't share with you guys until I had a rolling body but I can't stand it anymore. I've decided to share some progress pictures with you guys.
Its not hard to figure out what its gonna be when I'm done when I tell you I shortened a 127" frame to a 104" wheelbase. I haven't worked out all the details yet, hell, I don't have a body yet. This is in no way the build thread, just some leaked photos. So on with the pics! BTW, I'd like to thank VA72C10 for supplying me with the frame! Thanks dude!!

Me too! LOL! The b.s. mock up pictures were done today. After the plates were finished welded in I couldn't help but to scrounge up some 275/35/19s and some 315/35/20s. The plates will look a lot better when the frame is blasted. They look like mess with all the heat marks but the welds are really nice looking!

I'm not a BMW tech but I do manage a Midas and when we are slow I often have the guys do something to my truck. It's one of the benefits

No its not! Not anytime soon! The plates are a little overkill but they are for looks as much as structure.

Sorry! The guilt was a big burden for me! I'm sure I'll be making mistakes on the body work. Lets just hope there aren't too many!

Thats funny because BMW thinks our shop is a mess! We have to do a big clean up come next week.

Yup, if work is slow or the 5:00 whistle blows we are free to do what we want. The only hard and fast rules are #1. No making side money on BMWs and 2. Don't clog up your lift with something that ties up your bay when it comes time to get back on the clock. One of the perks of working there!

Re: I Can't Keep A Secret!! Spy Photos!!

I wanna say thanks to everyone who has tuned in!
Heres some random pics. Oh yeah, I wasn't gonna post the first one but Jonathan and I giggled so hard about posting it on the forum I just have to! when I went to pick up the frame I didn't think about getting a 200" frame in a 5.5' bed. Oh well, the entire trip was in the dark so Its not like I stuck out like a sore thumb.
