Hey guys, as of yesterday I'm no longer the owner of my 68'. It's all part of a master plan that involves moving my family to Italy. I considered taking the truck but realized it would be very difficult to make Italian street legal. Instead, I replaced it with something that I feel will be more Euro friendly.

I am grateful the forum and it's members for providing me the knowledge to build such a beautiful truck. Over the years I tried to pay it forward by sharing the knowledge I gained from you all. I will continue to do so because I will always be a truck guy at heart.

In June I will make the move to Italy. If anyone is ever in the Le Marche region, please look me up

Both are nice vehicles.
I am not sure why this is good bye, you have been here long enough to know that this place isn't only about trucks.

I hope your move is a good one. I've spent some time in Italy when I was living in Vienna, Austria. If you get the chance, head out to Malta. Very beautiful place to visit. Keep in touch, let us know how things are going.

Just seems odd that a Cobra is easier to make street legal than a dang pickup,doesn't it? Hey,it's easier on their roads anyway. The '68 would be like driving a Mack over there,I'm thinking. Don't be a stranger and send a picture every time you spot a Chevy truck. Enjoy Italy!!

The truck is missing the side markers and mirrors. Those would have to be replaced. The Cobra has a fuel injected 5.0 Cobra engine. Smaller displacement and smaller carbon footprint. Both increase the odds of getting it registered. If the truck was built to original specs, it would be much easier to make it legal.

Well I'm sure italy has internet, so you can re-join the multitude of folks that are currently missing their truck and still hang out with us rude americans. Luckily, you do have quite a nice piece of machinery to ease the pain... Molto bene plan. Bonjourno! And good luck - sounds like a blast.
