I would like to know what kind of intake you are running on your engine and is it dual or single plane. I currently have a stock iron quadrajet intake which is dual plane. I was given an aluminum single plane edelbrock torker. I have heard single planes arent as streetable as dual plane. So what intake are ya running, single or dual plane, and what do you think of it? Also, how much difference did you notice over stock (if you ever had a stock intake)?

I am running the stock intake manifold on the '74 454. Since the 454 is in a '67 swb stepper with a SM-465 backed by 3.73 gears the 454 has plenty of power to move the truck down the road.

I run an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, I saw a small increase in power over the stock intake. It's really going to depend on the whole engine combo. Remember the engine is just a big air pump, more air in- more air out- faster you go!

Don't run the single plane, unless you have way too much low end torque, and you want to kill it off. LOL!
