Re: Side Moulding Clips?

Upper or lower moudling? Year?

I ordered mine from Classic Parts to put on my used set of upper and lower LWB 69-72 trim because they were the cheapest, and the lower clips were all excellent. They were indistinguishable from the originals and went on perfectly. The upper bolt on clips were also great and worked perfect as well.

The upper snap-in clips were another story. They were worthless. They were not at all like the originals and didn't work at all. I ended up throwing them away and using the adhesive type.

I don't know if the other vendors sell a different design, but I would check those upper snap in clips before you buy if that's what you need.

Good luck.

Curt, what was the part number of the trim clips you used? Was it for the individual clips or a set?

I bought them individually because I only wanted to buy the ones I needed.

Here are the part numbers from Classic Parts:

For the good ones that worked:
Upper trim bolt on: 62-882
Lower trim bolt on: 62-876
Lower trim snap in: 62-884

And here's the upper trim snap in clip that didn't work at all for me:
Upper trim snap in: 62-875

If you buy the bolt on clips, you'll need to buy the speed nuts to go with them, part 62-888.

If anyone finds an upper snap in clip that works, I'd sure be interested in hearing about it.

Good luck!
