Which Color Black on Console? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

SEM makes Black Vinyl dye in 3 shades. Gloss, Satin, and Landau Black. All of which are pretty expensive per 13oz spray can, so I thought I'd ask before the trial and error method.

Which of these is the closest to the original for the consoles, armrest, etc...? Thanks

Gloss is out for sure. The plastic parts in these trucks were never glossy. Not sure what landau is so I vote for satin

I beadblasted mine and shot it with the same black paint I painted the truck with then clearcoated it with satin clear. Looks great. It is not vinyl so I think the dye would be a waste of money.
