help question about stainless interior door trim

I can't seem to find any place selling them.. maybe I'm looking up or calling them the wrong name. I'm looking for the interior door trim piece that goes around the window. My truck has plain painted pieces like most trucks do, but I found a guy local to me thats selling a pair of polished stainless pieces id like to buy. Just trying to guage if the price he's asking for them is fair.

These definitely arent chrome and they are factory off his 49. The window felt strip is still mostly intact.

Re: help question about stainless interior door trim

Oh, I think I might know what you're referring to: the channel the window felt comes in(?) That has a very small diameter rolled stainless edge visible. Does that sound right?

Also, I was thinking of Task Force trucks not Advance Design trucks - one of the problems with this forum. WE're the ONLY forum that two era of trucks is combined into one sub forum. In my opinion, we OUGHTA have a requirement that thread titles start with "TF" or "AD"

This one right? I've seen a couple sets for sale between 100-150. They were stainless steel. Haven't seen any recently.

Re: help question about stainless interior door trim

Chev3600 - yup exactly! Well if thats how much they go for, then I guess I'm getting them for a pretty good price.

Daze57 - i agree completely, the ad tf same section adds a layer of confusion sometimes.

Re: help question about stainless interior door trim

Picked these trim pieces up the other day and spent a little bit last night polishing them up, nice a strait and shine like they were new. grabbed them for 75 bucks so guess thats not bad if chev3600 is right in saying they normally sell for much more.

98layinframe, good score. They are usually $100 plus.

Re: help question about stainless interior door trim

You can get the windshield and door trim repro for AD trucks but the interior ones you will have to hunt down used parts. so you did good
