fuel pump

i just put in a 350 outta a 85 into my 71. on the fuel pump where the return line is can i just plug the return line ?

you can run a line from the pump back to the tank, and that will let the fuel psi. be a lot less on the float of the carb, i have had to do this on several vehicles to keep them from flooding...

I plugged the return line on the fuel pump on my '74 454 and so far have not had a problem with too much pressure for the Holley carb. I may just be lucky though.
