trailer hitch..what one.

i have given up on a slide in camper for my longhorn. they want too much money for the nice ones, more than a good travel trailer! makes no sence.. but, screw it..

now i need a really good hitch for my c20 longhorn. one that wont interfer with my spair tire, and will look stock, or close too. anyone have some exsperiance with this?

I believe that ECE has a hidden one with a flip down license plate, and is a class three(5000lb) hitch. The hitch should will let you use your spare in the stock location.

Dave, I have a Drawtite Class IV hitch that fits great on my 2500. You have to modify the spare tire hanger by cutting the head of the bolt off and bending it into a "U" where it hooks over the hitch after it is installed. Worked great. Really strong and comes out underneath my original step bumper. It was about $120 at Spillars here in Austin. It is rated 600/6000 or 1100/11000 with load distributing hitch.
