Fuel pump question????????

I have a 85 3/4 ton Suburban. My fuel pump has a third line that I believe is fuel tank vapor. Can this line be plugged to run a high performance fuel pump with only an in and out?
Thanks for your help
Mike

Yes I did it as well. No problems whatsoever. I plugged mine off at the pump and the line at the tank valve selector. The return hose on mine was leaking so I capped both off.
