Pictures of my 71 C30 Franklin motorhome

This is for Edmond and a few of the others that don't want to rip these down to make a car hauler. Not that I don't want one of those either........

I finally got around to it and added some shots of the camper.

It was a 157" cab and chassis that was modified to 181". Bumper to bumper it is 29 feet long. It has 4.11 rear gears, 402/th400, PS, PB, buckets, console, carpet. It honestly gets 10mpg running 65-70 on the freeway. The truck has just under 52,000 actual miles. 2500+ miles were put on driving to and from Pigeon forge on it's maiden voyage last month. The first trip it has been on since 1988 according to the cantankerous ol' fart that owned it last.

I can't picture something like this in your country Edmond let alone your longhorn (or what it would take to fill the 35 gallon gas tank). Should we start looking for one you can import?

Thanks for the pictures!! It's an amazing motorhome!, and it's huge!

If I had the space, I would go for it!! But that big truck would not fit in the street where I live, let alone drive through it.
Highway would be easy, but in town it will be a problem.
My neighbour has a motorhome, but that one is almost as long as my Longhorn, so nowhere near the lenght of your motorhome.

Don't remind me of filling up the tank, it's costing me an arm and a leg everytime..
Luckely I converted to Propane.

Thanks again for posting the pictures!!

Cya,
Edmond
