What would you trade it for?

Don't throw stones yet!! I know some of you would not trade your old Chevy pick-up for anything.

As much as I love my 72 Cheyenne, I would trade it for one vehicle and one only. A 1956 Chevy Bel-Air sedan. It would have to be in equal or better shape than my 72. The problem with that is in the same condition, the 56 is worth a little more coin and they are very very hard to find with no rust or sheet metal repair.

I love the 56 Chevy's because they were my late fathers favorite car. When I was 6 yrs old he had a Bel-Air sedan that was black and charcoal two tone with a red interior. I loved that car.

Just wondering what you guys would trade for if temptation ever comes knocking.

Ohhh that's an easy one. That ONLY car I'd trade my 69 for is a '50 Mercury coupe.

The only thing I would trade either of mine for is a pre 73 K5, well thats not entirely true, I would also consider trading them for a time machine.

Re: What would you trade it for?

67-68 Camaro or Firebird, prefer the Firebird. Motor/trans don't matter, I can swap those, as long as the body is perfect. However, if we were talking about an actual real world trade I'd have to kick in 10K+ with my truck to get a nice one.

Re: What would you trade it for?

I have the only vehicle I've ever lusted over. I wanted a '68 Panel since I saw my first one in '68! And as soon as I was able, I got one. I wouldn't trade it for nuthin'!

My Pick-up, though, that's a different story. I'd trade it in a minute. For a '67 Panel!

Re: What would you trade it for?

Let's see:

1987 Buick GNX
1957 Chevy 2-door
1970 Plymouth AAR Cuda
1969 Dodge Charger

Or.......a better condition 1969 or 1970 C-10 w/ big block.

Otherwise, this truck is staying with me.

Re: What would you trade it for?

My first thought was "what would I trade my child for"?...

A candy purple or maroon '39-'41 pro-gas Willis coupe, 500" 6-71 blown and injected hemi. They might need to sweeten it up a bit with some cash.

I love my truck, I have had it longer than either of my wives or my kid.

Re: What would you trade it for?

I bought my long bed for the obvious purpose of haulin harleys. But before I bought it I found a relatively rust free 1959 elcamino. It needed a complete restore, but had hardly any damage to body or glass. Rare! It also had a nice long bed and was low enough to load bikes easy. Unfortunately, the guy selling it knew what it was worth, and even though he was selling for a good price, 8k, I didn't have the $. When I was growing up, a friend of my dad's had a black one with a 327 4-speed, cragers, and a tonneau cover! It was jacked up in the back with some nice 50's mickey thompsons on it. It was very bad a$$! I would love to have one of them. For that I'd quickly trade my baby in.
