I remember they were located in Covina California, I know they are metioned in Santucci's Book on inlines. Sorry I can't remember more than that. You might want to post on "inliners.org" they are a good resource for inlines.

Re: 292 cu

I subscribed cause I've been hagglin with the owner of this truck thinking a done up 292 would be great for power and economy in a dd. When I was in my late teens in 68/69 I was a truck helper for a newspaper and they had about 40 dual rear wheel one and two ton van type delivery trucks and they had 292's in them. They worked the crap out of those engine and they stood up well under those conditions thats why I'm thinking it would be great engine in a 1/2 ton.

You can build some real power out of a 292 (or even 250 for that matter), but it gets spendy to do it. You can build more power cheaper and more easily out of a sbc. Also, the 292 isn't going to be much more fuel friendly than a sbc, especially if it's built.

On the plus side of the equation, they run forever, and they are torquey enough to uproot a house.

I've always wanted to turbo one, but have never had the cash or opportunity at the right time.
