Differences between 216 and 235

The 47 I just picked up still has the original 216 in it and not sure how rough it is. I have access to a 235 out of a 57 1/2 ton and was thinking about putting that in the 47. At this point not really worried about originality, just more less want to make it so it can move under its own power. My main concern is will the 235 drop right in place of the 216 or do they have different motor mounts etc. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in adavance.

Re: Differences between 216 and 235

Good choice to consider swaping out the 216 for a later model pressurized 235. I believe the later model TF engines have side mounts and the AD models use a front engine and bellousing mounts.

Refer to the Stovebolt forum, this was a common swap before sbc's
