Re: drop question
You should be just fine. No other changes required. Do yourself a favor and have the front end re-aligned so your tires won't wear funny.
When you go farther than 4", especially in the rear, you'll need to make some changes, like re-locating the shocks and going to a different track bar set-up. The front depends on how you did the drop (coils, drop spindles/coils, etc) as to what little tricks you'll need to do to make it all work right.

Re: drop question
I would suggest going with a drop coil for the rear, so that the trailing arms aren't hanging down too low and possibly hit the ground if you should get a flat. This also depends on what size wheels you are running.

Re: drop question
Possibly leaf springs on the back? I agree with Travis though, If it has factory coils in it now I would just do a drop coil replacement. They are pretty cheap.
Chevelle or 97-06 Jeep TJ springs will bolt into these trucks. Just so you know. The only problem is the spring rates are a lot softer than the truck springs. Yes, it will lower the truck but your ride will be really bouncy / soft. You won't be able to haul much, but .. it's a cheap way to drop the rear of the truck. .. just sayin
