They are tight. If you loosen the screw you can adjust them. The glass is good. If you shake them you can here stuff inside (it's not rust). If you want patina mirrors, these would be great, plus they would be going back home as I bought these at the Albuquerque swap meet about 5 years ago.....

By the way I removed the 2" blocks and am putting 1" blocks so that may get me closet to 54.5" on the driveshaft.........HOPEFULLY!
