Take a look at Dirty Larry's truck. He has a thread at the top of the first page about taking a desert trip. I believe the winch on the front of his truck is called a Sidewinder.

I've Ben thinking about this. Maybe cutting out the license plate and mounting the dollars there? Also have thought about a flip down license plate with a hitch receiver and power connections behind it. Then have a hitch mount winch so I can use if on either end.

Early Classic Enterprises makes a very nice setup. I used it on my 71 Suburban. Love it. I recently spoke with them and was told with a few minor mods it would work on the 73 and later models also.

Delete my post. Read it as hitch not winch. Moe coffee.

Fred from 4wheel and offroad had one hidden behind the front bumper of his cucv that got stolen. should be able to look up the article online. was a pretty slick setup.
