What engine to choose?
I have a friend that is working on a 1985 4x4 blazer with his son. It has a 350 in it now and he is wanting to put a few more horses under the hood. What is a good choice for engine size? I am not to familar with 4x4's but I suggested a 383 stroker for the torque. Dont think he plans to do a lot of off-roading just wants something that sound and runs good etc.
Any suggestions would be appriciated.

Re: What engine to choose?
If I had it to do over again, and I might do it anyway, I'd go with an LS swap. 5.3 for a good compromise between mileage and torque, or 6.0 if mileage isn't a concern.
But yeah, a 383 over a 350 any day.
