can this be fixed?

I dont know if this can be fixed. Im guessing with a parts cab? I NEED to use this cab. It has sentimental value. Anybody have any ideals about fixing it rather than getting a new cab? thanks

Re: can this be fixed?

Yes it can be repaired. Do you weld or have a friend that welds. You will need to find a donor cab with these sections in good shape and cut them out.

If it is really bad, you might consider splicing a complete roof on from a donor truck.

It is a lot of work and if the rest of the cab is good, well worth the time in my book.

My 64 has the same problem on the drivers side under between the windshield and the drip rail and when all the planets line up, I am going to repair it.

I agree w/TBONE1964.....your going to have to take the top off another cab and do alot of welding.

check w/some of the 60-66 parts venders out in the midwest or in the southwest. It shouldn't be that hard to find, you just may not like the price of shipping a part that large.

If the extent of the rust is confined to mostly the areas in the pics, you can just weld in patches in thjose areas. Just be sure to cut away the rust to the point of getting into good solid metal. It is possible that I may have those pieces, that I could cut out of a parts cab. I would have to verify the integrity of those areas.
