I've got a set, tested individually but no harness to hear both. Will sell for $25 plus the ride. Can get a pic tonight.

Re: WTB: Dual Horns High and Low

I pulled a few parts off a 72 highlander in a local yard, including the dual horns and harness, then decided I wood buy he whole core support, so I left he horns on it. They pulled it for me but when I went back to pick it up, one of the horns was gone (!) and they don't know what happened to it. Nice.

Does anyone know the background on the dual horns, was it an option shown on the spid label, or part of another package, or what? I know most of the Cheyennes I have seen had them, and this highlander did as well. I am going back tomorrow to see if I can find the second horn. I don't know if it was the high or low note one. I think it was the one nearest the fender. Does anyone know if it was the high or low note in this spot?

Would a truck with one horn have the high or low note horn?

My luck is the horn they left is the same as what I already have and they lost the one I need.

Re: WTB: Dual Horns High and Low

K, charged battery on truck, tested each. One didn't work, other sounded really sick. Guess they go to the scrap pile. I also spent some time looking thru my good parts and can't for the life of me find the good ones.

I just took a set of these off a 1970 CST I found at the salvage yard to put on my own 70 CST, and they were listed on the Spid label as a separate "dual horns" option....I thought it was really cool because I never knew there was an option like that before I read the label and then went under the hood to find them. Nice little green jumper harness between them too....pretty neat

Re: WTB: Dual Horns High and Low

I went back to the yard today to pull some more stuff and found the other horn. It has a "H" on it! I already got the jumper wire and the rad support had the low note horn on it still. Now to see if they work! I also found another high not horn in my junk. The bracket on it is not quite the same. I plan to test it as well.

Re: WTB: Dual Horns High and Low

How badly do you want dual horns?

i had a 71 El Camino in high school (years ago) and if I remember correctly they are the same, just need the bracket bent to fit the 67-72 trucks.

Re: WTB: Dual Horns High and Low

FYI...non working, and sick sounding horns, will usually be fine if you spray a bunch of wd-40, or something similar inside and let soak awhile.
