Ive replaced rockers on this style of truck before, but I have never done floor, kick, post, brace. I got in alot further then I thought I would have to. But isnt that how it always is? Anyway, following questions please....

1. My seatbelt mount popped right out the floor soon as I put a wrench on it. I am needing dimensions as to its location please.

2. When replacing the post section, and brace. Which is best to replace first? I am wanting to do one at a time so that I can make sure the holes are aligned. I'm thinking brace, floor, kick, post, rocker?

3. The front floor section, if my rough measurements are right, it only bolts to the rear two of the post bolts?

4. Do I need to brace from the floor to the dash when I cut the post section out?

5. All these bolts that feed from the inside. How is everyone handling this? I can see how on truck. But with the rocker box, this has me boggled?

you will have to remove the torsion box in order to replace the floor brace. someone please correct me if im wrong.
1. kick panel
2. floor section
3. a piller patch
4. rear floor brace
5. torsion box, box end plate and support
6. b piller patch
7. outer rocker
5 and 6 may be backwards?
just looking at how it is put together from factory thats the order i come up with.
yes a brace from the back floor to dash or a piller would be good even if the top is still on.

I'm not replacing rear brace, or b piller. I am doing the front brace, I didnt specify that on my org post. Dont want to replace box if I dont have to.

So its best to put the kick panel in before the floor?

#5....cant you just weld the nut onthe inside, its not like you will ever take it apart again

front brace is first in your case. with new body mounts then kick then floor.
yes the kick panel goes in before floor. it is sandwiched between piller and floor. looking at your thread and by the rust i see, you will need the rear brace. it supports the belt mount too.
i guess you could weld nut to back then bolt from outside as long as the bolt head doent inter fear with rocker.

Jaros. Thats what I come up with tonight while out there. Need to make sure bolt head will clear the rocker panel that covers them.

fxd, the rear brace has one small hole. I'm not replacing it.

It really helps having all the parts in hand. It clears several of the questions up. But then it creates so many more, lol.

For anyone in the future. I finished cutting the a-pillar out last night. I figured it was already so weak from rust, it wouldnt go anywhere. WRONG The door opening ended up spreading wider, not dropping.

So future people, put a horizontal brace. I think I'm going to try a come-a-long to pull it back.
