Chroming GMC grille $$$

I picked up a nice basic painted GMC grille on CL, I thought it would be a good candidate to have chromed. First time I've had something plastic quoted, was surprised at the cost. I knew it would be pricey but $900.00 was more than anticipated. It seemed like a good idea but a little more than I'm willing to pay.

I believe LMC sells a generic plastic chrome grill for 73-80 trucks. There's no logo so you have to get creative with that, but I remember the price not being completely outrageous.

I have seen those and they don't look too bad. Might be the way to go. I have a NOS chrome one but until the pickup is redone I'll leave it in the box.

KQQL IT - thanks for the link, I'll give them a call and see what they say.

There are places that spray chrome plastic and its every bit as chrome as real chrome. May be way cheaper.
