Battery Tray?
I decided that I would replace my battery tray when I pull the motor, since it's never been there. The PO had put a piece of plywood supporting the battery, and I expected the radiator support and fender would be totally rusted out.
I was surprised by what I saw; it really doesn't look too bad. I think I may only need the tray, something like this: http://www.autoobsession.com/battery...hevytruck.aspx It says it's a 3-hole mount, but I don't see where it mounts. Is it supposed to be welded in, or are there just bolt holes I'm missing? |

Where's the hole.Usually you can see the ground.They bolt in.The bolts are inside the batt tray on the outer panel and through the side into the core support next to the radiator.

For the price you can't go wrong. If it needs holes to mount it, you can always drill some.
I bought a complete battery holder for my 68 about 10 years ago but they were only about $30 back then. I noticed that they've gone up to $50 plus.

Thanks, guys. I just ordered one. Some rust treatment, a little metal straightening, and it should be as good as new.
