1978 Chevy wont get fuel

I replaced the fuel pump on my 1978 chevy and its not getting fuel to the fuel filter. I blew air through the fuel lines from the tank and still nothing, what should I try next.

Re: 1978 Chevy wont get fuel

They aren't in the best condition, if they are worn at the end could it lose suction? I don't know if there is any fuel going to the fuel pump at all, is there any way to tell if there is a whole or something in the fuel lines without taking them off?

not generally at the very end, but if there are any cracks or rodent caused trauma it will cause issues. You might want to put a signature in stating what your truck is so that we'd have an easier time helping you troubleshoot.

I had a packrat gnaw at the tank to hardline on my K5. Punctured it just enough so that the pump wouldn't prime. Luckily I was able to replace it without dropping the tank.

Re: 1978 Chevy wont get fuel

Its a 1978 chevy 3/4 ton 4x4, Ill probably check all the fuel lines and see what I can find. I feel like there is hole or something in the line somewhere because when I blew air through the hose I could here it from the gas tank.
