No, and if parts aren't right there's no return problem.

Ordered stuff and it came but some of it was real junk and I sent it back. I got a chrome bumper for my 86 Suburban and it was real, real bad. They must have had some offshore outfit make it out of rusted junk using nothing but a hammer. It was so rough you wouldn't have wanted to try to smooth it out even if it was not chromed and you planned to paint it. I don't know why they sent it out because they must have known it would be coming back. Apart from that, no problem. They took stuff back without arguing. I did get a plastic aftermarket grill for the same truck that was fine.

I've found that lately about all they have is "La Cucaracha" horns and aero-style kits for ricers.

I'm glad they decided not to renew my catalog "subscription."

I have ordered occasionally from J.C. Whitney for the past 20 years or so.....In general I have found the products they sell are quite satisfactory in quality and price.... The few times I was not satisfied...had no problem returning the item and in a few cases they were able to substitue the item for one of better quality for no additional charge.....Of course, quality can change with any company dependant upon their sources............Jim

I've looked through their catalogs over the past 20+ years but never ordered anything from them until about a week ago. I order new Silverado body mouldings for my dads 84 K10 for Fathers Day. They arrived in good time, the quality looks good and the price was more than fair. To buy the moulding locally was $108.95 for 34 feet. I bought the same from JC Whitney for $65.99

the bottom line is you generally get what you pay for , i've ordered stuff from them they have a good tracking system for orders and excellent return policy. your not going to get NOS or mint GM parts but on quite a few things they carry are from magor manufactures!! can't help but notice he didn't say what exactly he ordered or what was wrong with it!!!!

Ordering from JC whitney is pretty much hit or miss. About 16 years ago I ordered some "Custom" fit molded floor carpet for my 69 GMC. This thing was nothing but JUNK! It was to big in some areas and too short in other areas and was not "molded" at all like their add said. Hell I could have got a better fitting piece of shag carpet at the local carpet mart! I ordered a rocker panel for my 70 GMC about 8 years ago and was impressed with the quality and perfect fit of it. I have ordered a few other little things and was satisfied with most of the parts. It seems someof their stuff is decent for the price while other stuff is plain junk.

I have bought 5 items, and other then the chrome bumper on my wife's old daily driver flaking off (in 2 very small spots) within 5 years, I have been very pleased with them.
I will say that you have to be very carefull of what you get, if it looks like junk in the book, it probably is junk.
I'd buy from them before I'd buy from LMC.

Just ordered a dual exhaust kit last week. Haven't received it yet but I'm hoping for the best. States that it is 2 1/4" mandrel bent aluminized and they want less than half of what the local shop wanted including shipping. Figured I couldn't go too far wrong but the verdict is still out as they have not shipped as of yet.

I have only bought from J.C. Whitney once and I was satisfied. A friend of mine was looking for fiberglass fenders for his beetle. He called an in-town manufacturer and asked about the price. He then found them at J.C. whitney and ordered them at half the price quoted by the local manufacturer. When they arrived, he found out that they had been ordered by whitney from the local place and shipped straight from the local place to his house..........for half the price.
