blazer brackets in a truck?

I bought a set of 72 buckets off a fellow board member and they came with the blazer passenger bracket. Anyone used these in their truck? I'm guessing it is no issue, but I am curious if it is even usable or the tilt hits the dash before you get any advantage out of them. I have moved my gas tank to under the bed if that helps with opinions on using them. Thanks!

Re: blazer brackets in a truck?

I put them in my '72 w/gas tank....just had to bend the handle a little upwards, tilt forward not an issue. No gas tank will make it better, good luck!!!

Re: blazer brackets in a truck?

Thanks! These are in good shape and didn't want to order regular since these are so nice. Anyone got good pictures of all the hardware? Also will i have to drill new holes? The cab was originally a bench.

Re: blazer brackets in a truck?

i prefer blazer brackets - nice to be able to at least lean the seat fwd. I bought some from jonathan (va72c10). I'd stick em in, if for any reason you don't like em, it's a short job to swap em to the standard brackets if you choose to buy them later.

Re: blazer brackets in a truck?

Here is a thread that was moved to FAQ.
The bucket seats use different holes for the most part and there are underbody brackets and a crossbrace present on factory A50 (bucket seat) trucks.
