Oem winch bumper question

I did a search but was unable to find the pics SSTim posted.
I'm looking for the factory option bumper pics. Iirc it was black and had rounded corners. Pics and what I might be expected to pay for one?

Thanks for those pics Tim! However I think in the pic it was catching a little air and the nose was busting through some soft dirt or sand and it was bigger. Iirc it was factory or at least the pic was from a GM brochure.

I think it migght have even had a Braden (Barden?) pro winch. I have an old Warn M-series.
I'll keep searching. This time I saved these pics! I've heard all the winch bumpers were aftermarket but I wanna say this one was factory. Maybe the truck in the brochure was brown too? Btw I decided to try power kings first.

Here's a winch bumper similar to Blazerman's on a survivor 72 K20 Suburban that Paul and Jason Duncan owned - this was the donor for the 350 now in my 72 K20 build (54K miles IIRC).

Ok it's Lear to me now. Ramsey it is. I still wish I could find the pic. I just noticed the link Tim gave. Funny how that bumper looks so small on that 'burb. What's a good ball park price for those? Are there any issues? Are they indicated on the SPID or would on just thumb through an options book and dealer put on? Is it something year specific? Brush guards compatible? Tow hooks compatible? I think that's what I'm going to start looking for after a few other items are checked off the ever growing list.

After reading the thread Tim posted that's even more what I'm looking for. Looks like Pete's truck is a 70 not a 69 but close enough. I'm liking it more because it lacks marker lights. Worst case I'll buy some channel and sheet and reproduce one. Thanks for the great pics! And info!

Good then can you help fill things out? Last I saw, the bumper had been sold off to a guy who drove a long way for a "deal" on the bumper and winch. This type of bumper was common as far as early winch bumpers go. The truck PTO winches were heavy and tended to be more of a vocational tool than a private recovery winch for most people.

As far as tow hooks or a factory brush guard they would not be compatable. Even if the hooks did not conflict they would be very hard to use in the factory location. Often there are a pair of hooks next to the winch as this has.

69 vs 70 too funny.

On the lights. Running light/turn signals were most often just a utility style lollipop mounted light. When the bumper mounted lights were reused they would often be under a strap shield on top like the green blazer picture. Cut-ins were often done too as the pictures show.

At the time I took those pics I was thinking about buying the Burb, it was on its 3rd owner at that time and was in Platte City MO. It was nice but had some cobbled up suspension and a few other problems and ended up passing on it, I did try and buy the winch setup alone and he wouldn't do it. I think it ended up going up north around Iowa last I heard.
I couldn't find Jacobs Mfg listed in the 1971 Silver book but imagine Ramsey out sourced the bumper kit to another company rather than manufacturing there own.

The different lockout hubs gave it away. Almost looks like he's got 1/2 ton lockouts so I guessed that was a difference between 69/70 k20s. If I'm wrong pls correct me. Mine are not tapered or shiney and the locking mechanism is a tab rather than an indent which I usually identify as a warn style.

The pic of the jeep is the style I'm going to try to find. All the pictures helped very much. This time I saved them for reference.

Now I know what to call it. Priceless.

Blazerman - that's a picture that anyone who has a question about PTO can really benefit from.
Lift blocks...can't stand them. IMHO they are dangerous.

Regardless thanks to all who posted pics. Also sounds like I should get a 69 options book. Reference material makes life a lil easier.

There were a couple of hub variations and the early small tabs were not the best.

That Jeep bumper is a Ramsey as well, just like the K20 I linked you to in post #2. If you look closely there is a center close out that is bent on the K20.
