custom delux will be black insert panels on the interior. silverado will be silver inserts
meaning dash pad insert cluster bezel door panel pull strap bands also i believe the seats were all vinyl with only 3 inch pleats going up no pleat going from side to side and no 6 inch pleat in the middle im not sure if it had a headliner or not but when im at a unk yard that is what i see all the time somebody please correct me if i am wrong this is just what i have noticed |

I might be wrong about this but I don't think custom deluxe trucks come with any interior trim. I.E. behind the seat, pillar trim, headliner or headliner trim and so forth.

Also, the Custom Deluxe came with warning lights, whereas the Silverado came with gauges.

Here is a free downloadable info packet for an '85 Chevy pickup, from the GM Heritage Center archive.
This will show you all the available options, including colors, and their descriptions (will also highlight the differences between Custom Delux, Scottsdale and Silverado): http://www.gmheritagecenter.com/docs...olet-Truck.pdf If you can show us your SPID (service label) we can identify your truck's original paint scheme. We can also decode any other options you might have a question about. Here are some original brochures to review for paint schemes and such: http://www.lov2xlr8.no/gmc.html Lastly, for $50 you can send your VIN to the Heritage Center and they will send back the actual original invoice for your specific truck, including option content and pricing: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/?page=3 K

Re: original experts plz help
Keith Seymore, my '85 C.deluxe k30 crew has 9V5 for a paint code, (woodland green, & it's orig. paint on truck), yet i cant find that color in your links, or any where else. it was built in St.Louis, & ended up in canada,(dont know if by gm or private ind.). could it be "park ranger green" if it was a fleet order or something? can you shed any light on this?, sorry for the hi-jack

Re: original experts plz help
thanks Keith. i have always suspected it may be a ex-forest service truck ( how many people would really order their new truck ranger green?). here i always thought the p.o. was responsible for all the anntenea holes in the body & mike holes in the dash, but that would jive with it being ex-forest
