Can new A/C boxes be bought new?
I started gutting the my new cab prepping it for paint. I noticed the A/C box on the firewall was cracked. I was going to use it since my other one was in far worse condition. Are these available aftermarket with good quality.

Anybody? Is my only option to find both halves at a junk yard or are they made aftermarket.

Looks like classic industries has only one half of it. Not sure why they don't list the other half.

Re: Can new A/C boxes be bought new?
Everyone I have come across so far has been busted. I am still looking at them in the junk yards but if I can not find one then I will have to buy a new one.

Which side you need (engine or cab)?
I've also heard of people using the one from an S-10 for clearance issues when doing turbos.

Re: Can new A/C boxes be bought new?
Cab side. I have a little time before needing it but would like to go ahead and get it out of the way. The one that was on the truck was in real good shape until you look up under it. Just a big gaping whole. I have only found one that might work but it was faded from the sun really bad and had lost the nice finish on it. Since I am pretty much restoring this truck I want one that looks pretty nice.

Could you possibly repair the hole in yours? Just fiberglass right and being underneath it will never be seen
