Happy ending
Here's why I'm glad to be a member here. Over the years, I've had a 70 and a 72 short bed. The 70 was a show piece and I traveled the east coast with it. Both sold and I got a 72 Suburban because the short beds were too small inside. No leg room. I liked the Sub. Lowered, velour interior, another show piece and many car shows. The wife didn't like the Sub because it was too big. She didn't like driving it on long trips when I needed driving help. Sold it (here) to guy in Canada that wasn't even interested in the history records I had on it. Bought (here) a 71 2 wd Jimmy 2 1/2 years ago. Turned out to be a disaster. It's hard to believe so much poor work could have been done to a single vehicle. While re-working it I got ripped off and set back by most everyone I dealt with. It's hard to believe there are so many dishonest people in one state. I got a lot of info and parts here and ended up doing most of the work myself. Bottom line, it is finally on the road and I'm enjoying it. It isn't done because I'm retired now and money is scarce, but I can drive it - - - till I die. Sorry, no pics. I'm old. Not a computer wiz. I tried, but don't know how to post a pic.

Re: Happy ending
Congrats. I'm a 66 year old that has a hard time with computers. Just don't quit, never give up. I have a 72 2 wd Blazer that needs some love. I hope to drive it someday.

Re: Happy ending
I was thinking I had seen it somewhere before. I like the use of the factory 68 trim around the front.

Re: Happy ending
Thanx for the kind words. I'm curious for history on this vehicle. It's actually a 71 Jimmy. PO was in eastern TN. Can I get more info on who/what is Luv and Merlot? Any input appreciated.
